Alternative Schools are for students who prefer or cannot be in a regular school setting. Assignments to these schools are made through the Administrative Hearing Office. Classroom sizes are smaller, and the student-teacher ratio is lower so students can be monitored closely. Some of the schools do not release students from the program until they have met certain goals; other schools offer unique programs for students.
